Are You Connected? To God, that is….or whatever "God" is for you. Spirituality is an important part of life, whether we believe in one God, Goddess or Buddha, several deities, the Universe, a Higher Power…or even if someone is atheist and believes in nothing beyond this physical human experience. In the end, it doesn't matter. What matters is how connected are you to your own Self? Because in your Self, is where spirit lives. Do you take time to listen to your own inner guidance, or what some may call the voice of God, angels, guides, truthteller, gut instinct, etc. Your intuition is there to answer your questions, affirm the right decisions, provide access to your heart and help you on this amazing journey called life. We need to trust ourselves, and what that inner voice is telling us. We need to follow where our heart is guiding us, because we are never steered wrong when we listen to ourselves. When your mind and thoughts interfere, or we allow the opinions and advice of others to override our gut feelings, that's when life becomes cloudy. As with anything in life, connecting to this source takes practice and commitment, and open mindedness. And there is no one way to connect. Most traditionally use the methods of prayer and meditation to get to a quiet, peaceful place, and even within these, there are variations, from guided meditations and group sessions to simple breathing or self-hypnotic techniques. Some find it in music, being in nature, soaking in a bath, yoga or going on retreats. Those who have powerful dreams should pay close attention to the symbolism, words and possible messages coming through your own subconscious communication. It is critical that we connect to ourselves often—as in DAILY—so that our soul is as nourished as our physical hunger and emotional connections. Not only are we then better equipped to listen to our own hearts, but we find ourselves able to use these techniques to center ourselves and find peace quicker when we are faced with stress, difficult emotions and tragedy. Make a commitment to yourself, and to your soul, to listen more. You can even take 10-15 minutes each day, to just be still and quiet your mind, and ignore everything else going around you for that brief moment. You deserve that time for yourself, and so does your heart and soul. Embrace Your Power ~ Jenny Watson |

Not a bad way to live life, but certainly not as fulfilling or rewarding without taking some risks. I've been made aware of my very comfortable way of thinking and living, and am inspired to make a change through a number of messages I received a while ago, and now need to remember and truly listen to (by way of famous, powerful quotes): "Do not go where the path may lead; go instead where there is no path and leave a trail." – Ralph Waldo Emerson....read more |
